Mackerel are a swift-moving fish, swimming with very short sideways movements of the rear part of the body and of the powerful caudal fin. Mackerel can easily be recognized by its round, beautifully streamlined body, filled with irregular bands of metallic green and blue along the back.
Compared to other mackerels, mackerel Scomber Scombrus has a much higher fat content. It contains healthy omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin B, which strengthen the human body.
The Scomber Scombrus mackerel is also rich on vitamin D and E, selenium, iodine, vitamin B6 and B12.
